How to use the primer

It is recommended to use Rust stop, modifier / primer when factory primer is damaged or uncovered metal is visible, particulary where there are signs of corrosion.

Before using Rust stop the surface should be properly prepared. If there is a substantial layer of corrosion damage, it should be removed mechanically. If there is some flaking paint on the edges of a damaged area, remove it too. The surface should be dry, clean and grease-free.

Before every use of Rust stop, shake the touch up pen thoroughly. Apply Rust stop and leave it to dry. When the surface is no longer sticky, paint may be applied. The drying time depends on the ambient temperature.

Rust stop is water-based, so any excess amount or smears can be cleaned off with water before it dries. When it has dried, it can only be removed with a nitro diluent or acetone.
